With the recent technorama conference it came to our attention that correspondence is not getting to the right people in time.
Is you station passing on important information?
Do you as a volunteer/member have access to regular information?
There seems to be a lack of communications within the community broadcasting sector.
Some questions for management or for volunteer/member to ask about.
Who checks the incoming emails: do they get opened regularly, with junk mail email in boxes get clogged up and important information gets lost.
Who opens snail mail: are news letters/posters etc distributed around the station or posted on a notice board, so everyone gets a chance to update with what is going on in the sector.
Do your volunteers/Members have access to your policies?
Are your policies up to date?
Have you conducted a recent listeners survey? Your listeners are important, if you don't know who is listening then how do you know if you are serving the community you are licensed for. Besides, it can be a great sponsorship selling tool.
